Luke 6:20-26 - Happiness And Sorrow
20 And lifting up his eyes on his disciples He said, Blessed are ye though poor; for the kingdom of God is yours. 21 Blessed are ye that hunger now; for ye shall be satisfied. Blessed are ye that weep now; for ye shall laugh. 22 Blessed are ye when men shall hate you, and reject you, and reproach you, and cast out your name as infamous on account of the Son of man.
23 Rejoice in that day, and be exceeding glad; for behold, your reward is great in heaven: for thus did their fathers to the prophets.
24 But wo unto you that are rich; for ye have received your consolation. 25 Wo unto you that are full; for ye shall be hungry. Wo unto you that laugh now: for ye shall mourn and weep. 26 Wo unto you when all men speak well of you; for their fathers did the same to the false prophets.
