Luke 23:6-12 - Jesus Brought Before Herod

⁶ Now when Pilate heard of Galilee, he asked, if the man were a Galilean: ⁷ and understanding that He was of Herod's jurisdiction, he sent Him to Herod, who was also at Jerusalem at that time. ⁸ And Herod, when he saw Jesus, was very glad; for he had of a long time been desirous to see Him, because he had heard much of Him, and he hoped to see some miracle wrought by Him. ⁹ And he asked Him many questions; but He answered him nothing: ¹⁰ though the chief priests and scribes stood vehemently accusing Him. ¹¹ But Herod with his soldiers set Him at nought and insulted Him, and put on Him a gaudy robe, and sent Him back to Pilate. ¹² And on that same day Pilate and Herod became friends with each other: for before they were at enmity one with the other.
