Luke 23:1-5 - Jesus Brought Before Pilate

Luke 23:1-5

1 And having risen, the whole company of them led him to Pilate. 2 And they began to accuse him, saying, We found this man perverting the nation, and forbidding to give tribute to Caesar, saying himself to be Christ, a king.

3 And Pilate questioned him, saying, Are thou the king of the Jews? And having answered him, he said, Thou say.

4 And Pilate said to the chief priests and the multitudes, I find nothing guilty in this man.

5 But they were emphatic, saying, He stirs up the people, teaching throughout all Judea, having begun from Galilee as far as here.

John 18:28-32

28 They lead Jesus therefore from Caiaphas to the Praetorium. And it was early, and they did not enter into the Praetorium, so that they would not be defiled, but that they might eat the Passover.

29 Pilate therefore went out to them, and said, What accusation do ye bring against this man?

30 They answered and said to him, If this man were not an evildoer, we would not have delivered him up to thee.

31 Pilate therefore said to them, Take ye him, and judge him according to your law. The Jews therefore said to him, It is not permitted for us to kill any man, 32 so that the word of Jesus might be fulfilled that he spoke, signifying what kind of death he was going to die.
