John 18:1-11 - Jesus Is Betrayed And Arrested
Having spoken these words, Jesus went out with His disciples over the winter stream Kidron, where there was a garden. He and His disciples entered into it. 2 And Judas who betrayed Him also knew the place. For Jesus oftentimes went there with His disciples. 3 Then Judas, having received a band and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees, came there with lanterns and torches and weapons.
Then Jesus, knowing all things that were coming upon Him, went out and said to them, Whom do you seek?
They answered Him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus said to them, I AM! And Judas who betrayed Him also stood with them. 6 Then as soon as He had said to them, I AM, they went backward and fell to the ground.
Then He asked them again, Whom do you seek? And they said, Jesus of Nazareth.
Jesus answered, I have told you that I AM. Therefore if you seek Me, let these go away; 9 (that the word might be fulfilled which He spoke, "Of those whom You have given Me, I have lost not one of them").
Then Simon Peter, having a sword, drew it and struck the high priest's servant and cut off his right ear. And the servant's name was Malchus.
Then Jesus said to Peter, Put up your sword into the sheath. The cup which My Father has given Me, shall I not drink it?
