John 16:25-33 - Jesus' Victory Over The World

25 I have spoken these things unto you in parables; the hour comes, when I shall no longer speak to you in parables, but openly will I proclaim to you concerning the Father. 26 In that clay you shall ask in my name: and I do not say, that I will ask the Father for you; 27 for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved me as a friend, and you have believed that I came out from God. 28 I came out from the Father, and have come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.

29 His disciples say; Behold, now you are talking openly, and speaking no parable. 30 Now we know that you know all things, and have no need that any one may ask you: in this we believe that you came out from God.

31 Jesus responded to them, Do you now believe? 32 Behold, the hour cometh, and is already come, that you must be scattered abroad, each one to his own place, and leave me alone: I am not alone, because the Father is with me. 33 I have spoken these things to you, in order that you may have peace in me. In the world you have tribulation: but take courage; I have conquered the world.
