John 16:25-33 - Jesus' Victory Over The World

²⁵ I have spoken these things unto you in parables; the hour comes, when I shall no longer speak to you in parables, but openly will I proclaim to you concerning the Father. ²⁶ In that clay you shall ask in my name: and I do not say, that I will ask the Father for you; ²⁷ for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved me as a friend, and you have believed that I came out from God. ²⁸ I came out from the Father, and have come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.

²⁹ His disciples say; Behold, now you are talking openly, and speaking no parable. ³⁰ Now we know that you know all things, and have no need that any one may ask you: in this we believe that you came out from God.

³¹ Jesus responded to them, Do you now believe? ³² Behold, the hour cometh, and is already come, that you must be scattered abroad, each one to his own place, and leave me alone: I am not alone, because the Father is with me. ³³ I have spoken these things to you, in order that you may have peace in me. In the world you have tribulation: but take courage; I have conquered the world.
