1 John 4:20-1 John 5:5 - Keeping God's Commands

²⁰ If a man say, "I love God," and yet hate his brother, he is a liar. For how can he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, love God whom he hath not seen? ²¹ And this commandment have we of him: that he which loveth God, should love his brother also.

¹ All that believe that Jesus is Christ, are born of God. And all that loveth him which begat, loveth him also which was begotten of him. ² In this we know that we love the sons of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. ³ This is the love of God, that we keep his commandments, and his commandments are not grievous. ⁴ For all that is born of God, overcometh the world. And this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. ⁵ Who is it that overcometh the world: but he which believeth that Jesus is the son of God?
