Matthew 8:14-17 - Many At Capernaum Are Healed

¹⁴ And when Jesus came into Peter's house, he saw his mother-in-law, having been laid down, and feverish. ¹⁵ And he touched her hand, and the fever left her. And she was raised up, and served him. ¹⁶ And having become evening, they brought to him many being demon possessed. And he cast out the spirits by word, and healed all those faring badly, ¹⁷ so that what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which says, He himself took our infirmities, and bore our diseases.

²⁹ And straightaway, when they came forth out of the synagogue they came into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John. ³⁰ But Simon's mother-in-law lay feverish, and straightaway they tell him about her. ³¹ And upon coming, having taken hold of her hand, he raised her up and the fever left her. And straightaway she served them.

³² And having become evening when the sun set they brought to him all who were faring badly, and those who were demon-possessed. ³³ And the whole city was gathered together near the door. ³⁴ And he healed many who were faring badly with various diseases, and cast out many demons. And he did not allow the demons to speak, because they had recognized him.
