Matthew 8:14-17 - Many At Capernaum Are Healed

¹⁴ And when Jesus had come into Peter's house, He saw his wife's mother laid out and in a fever. ¹⁵ And He touched her hand, and the fever left her. And she arose and served them. ¹⁶ And evening coming on, they brought to Him many who had been possessed with demons. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick ¹⁷ so that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying, "He took on Himself our weaknesses and bore our sicknesses."

²⁹ And immediately after they had come out of the synagogue, they entered into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John. ³⁰ But Simon's wife's mother lay sick of a fever, and at once they told Him about her. ³¹ And He came and took her by the hand and lifted her up. And instantly the fever left her, and she served them.

³² And at evening, when the sun set, they brought all those who were diseased to Him, and those who had been demon-possessed. ³³ And all the city had gathered at the door. ³⁴ And He healed many who were sick of different diseases, and cast out many demons. And He did not allow the demons to speak, because they knew Him.
