Matthew 8:14-17 - Many At Capernaum Are Healed

¹⁴ When He went into Peter's house, He saw his mother-in-law lying in bed sick with fever. ¹⁵ He touched her hand, the fever left her, and she got up and began to wait on Him. ¹⁶ When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were under the power of demons, and at a mere word He drove the spirits out, and cured all who were sick, ¹⁷ and so fulfilled what was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, "He took our sicknesses and bore away our diseases."

²⁹ As soon as they left the synagogue, they went home with Simon and Andrew, in company with James and John. ³⁰ And Simon's mother-in-law was confined to her bed with a fever. So they at once told Him about her. ³¹ Then He went up to her, grasped her hand, and had her get up. The fever left her, and she began to wait upon them.

³² In the evening, when the sun had gone down, they kept on bringing to Him all the people who were sick or under the power of demons, ³³ and the whole town gathered at the door. ³⁴ And He cured many who were sick with various diseases, and drove out many demons, and would not let the demons speak a word, because they knew who He was.
