John 6:59-65 - Many Of Jesus' Disciples Offended By His Teaching

59 He said these things in the synagogue as he taught in Capernaum.

60 Many therefore of his disciples when they had heard this said, This is a hard word; who can hear it?

61 But Jesus, knowing in himself that his disciples murmured at it, said unto them, Does this offend you? 62 What if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before? 63 The Spirit is he that gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken unto you, they are Spirit and they are life. 64 But there are some of you that do not believe. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that did not believe and who should betray him. 65 And he said, Therefore I said unto you that no one can come unto me unless it is given unto them of my Father.
