Matthew 4:12-17 - Public Ministry In Galilee

¹² Now when Jesus had heard that John was cast into prison, he returned to Galilee; ¹³ and leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the borders of Zebulun and Naphtali, ¹⁴ that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying,

¹⁵ The land of Zebulun, and the land of Naphtali, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles; ¹⁶ the people who sat in darkness saw great light, and to those who sat in the region and shadow of death, light is sprung up.

¹⁷ From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, Repent, for the kingdom of the heavens is at hand.

¹⁴ Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God ¹⁵ and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent ye and believe the gospel.

¹⁴ And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee, and his fame went out through all the region round about. ¹⁵ And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all.
