Matthew 4:12-17 - Public Ministry In Galilee

¹² And Jesus having heard that John was cast into prison, departed into Galilee. ¹³ And having left Nazareth, having come into Capernaum, by the seaside, in the borders of Zabulon and Naphtali, He dwelt there; ¹⁴ in order that the word having been spoken by Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, saying,

¹⁵ Thou land Zabulon and land Naphtali, way of the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles, ¹⁶ the people sitting in darkness saw a great light, and to those sitting in the valley and shadow of death, light sprang up.

¹⁷ From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent; for the kingdom of the heavens draweth nigh.

¹⁴ After that John was cast into prison, Jesus came into Galilee preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, ¹⁵ and saying, That the time is fulfilled: the kingdom of God is at hand: repent, and believe the gospel.

¹⁴ And Jesus returned in the power of the spirit into Galilee.And the fame concerning Him went throughout the whole country. ¹⁵ And He was teaching in their synagogues, being glorified by all.
