Matthew 4:12-17 - Public Ministry In Galilee

Matthew 4:12-17

12 Now when he heard that John was delivered up, he withdrew into Galilee. 13 And leaving Nazareth, he came and lived in Capernaum, which is by the sea, in the region of Zebulun and Naphtali, 14 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying,

15 "The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, toward the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles, 16 the people who sat in darkness saw a great light, and to those who sat in the region and shadow of death, to them light has dawned."

17 From that time, Jesus began to proclaim, and to say, "Repent. For the Kingdom of Heaven is near."

Mark 1:14-15

14 Now after John was taken into custody, Jesus came into Galilee, proclaiming the Good News of God, 15 and saying, "The time is fulfilled, and the Kingdom of God is near. Repent, and believe in the Good News."

Luke 4:14-15

14 Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee, and news about him spread through all the surrounding area. 15 He taught in their synagogues, being praised by all.
