Matthew 4:12-17 - Public Ministry In Galilee

¹² But when Jesus heard, that John was cast into prison, he retired into Galilee. ¹³ And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt at Capernaum, which is on the sea coast, in the borders of Zebulon and Naphthali: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, ¹⁴ saying, The land of Zebulon and the land of Naphthali,

¹⁵ by the way of the sea, ¹⁶ beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles, The people who walked in darkness, saw a great light, and to them who sat in the region of the shadow of death, light is sprung up.

¹⁷ From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

¹⁴ Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, ¹⁵ Saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

¹⁴ And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee, and there went out a fame of him, thro' all the region round about. ¹⁵ And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all.
