Matthew 4:12-17 - Public Ministry In Galilee

Matthew 4:12-17

12 Now when Jesus heard that John had been arrested, He set out for Galilee. 13 But He left Nazareth and made His home in Capernaum, by the sea, in the district of Zebulon and Naphtali, 14 to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah:

15 "Land of Zebulon and land of Naphtali, on the road to the sea, across the Jordan, Galilee of the nations; 16 The people that were living in darkness have seen a great light, and on those that were living in the land of the shadow of death; a light has dawned."

17 From that time Jesus continued to preach and say, "Repent! For the kingdom of heaven is near."

Mark 1:14-15

14 Now after John was arrested, Jesus went into Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God: 15 "The time is ripe and the kingdom of God is near; repent and believe in the good news."

Luke 4:14-15

14 Then Jesus in the power of the Spirit returned to Galilee, and news of Him spread all over the surrounding country. 15 Meanwhile He began to teach in their synagogues, and was continuously receiving praise from all.
