¹⁷ The sons of Shem: Elam, Asshur, Arpachshad, Lud, Aram, Uz, Hul, Gether and Meshech. ¹⁸ And Arpachshad begat Shelah and Shelah begat Eber. ¹⁹ And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg, because that in his days the land was divided. And his brother's name was Joktan. ²⁰ Joktan begat Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth and Jerah; ²¹ Hadoram, Uzal, and Diklah; ²² Ebal, Abimael, and Sheba; ²³ Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.

²⁴ Shem, Arpachshad, Shelah; ²⁵ Eber, Peleg, Reu; ²⁶ Serug, Nahor, Tereh; ²⁷ Abram, otherwise called Abraham.

²⁸ The sons of Abraham: Isaac and Ishmael.

²⁹ And these are their generations: the eldest son of Ishmael was Nebaioth, then Kedar, Adbeel, and Mibsam;
