Matthew 24:1-2 - The Destruction Of The Temple Predicted

¹ And Jesus went forth and went away from the temple, and his disciples came to him to point out to him the buildings of the temple. ² And he answering said to them, Do ye not see all these things? Verily I say to you, Not a stone shall be left here upon a stone which shall not be thrown down.

¹ And as he was going out of the temple, one of his disciples says to him, Teacher, see what stones and what buildings!

² And Jesus answering said to him, Seest thou these great buildings? not a stone shall be left upon a stone, which shall not be thrown down.

⁵ And as some spoke of the temple, that it was adorned with goodly stones and consecrated offerings, he said, ⁶ As to these things which ye are beholding, days are coming in which there shall not be left stone upon stone which shall not be thrown down.
