Acts 18:24-28 - The Early Ministry Of Apollos

24 Now a certain Jew, Apollos by name, an Alexandrian by birth, a learned man, came down to Ephesus; and he was mighty in the Scriptures. 25 The same had been instructed in the way of the Lord; and, being fervent in spirit, he was speaking and teaching accurately the things concerning Jesus, knowing only the immersion of John. 26 The same also began to speak boldly in the synagogue. But Priscilla and Aquila, having heard him, took him to themselves, and expounded to him the way of God more accurately. 27 And, when he was disposed to passover into Achaia, the brethren, encouraging him, wrote to the disciples to receive him; who, having come, helped much those who had believed through grace; 28 for powerfully was he refuting the Jews publicly, showing by the Scriptures that Jesus is the Christ.
