1 John 2:7-14 - The New Commandment

7 Beloved, I write no new commandment to you, but and old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye heard. 8 Again, a new commandment I write to you, which thing is true in Him and in you; because the darkness is passing away, and the true light is already shining.

9 He who says that he is in the light, and hates his brother, is in the darkness even until now. 10 He that loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no occasion of stumbling in him. 11 But he that hates his brother is in the darkness, and walks in the darkness, and knows not where he is going, because the darkness blinded his eyes.

12 I write to you, little children, because your sins have been forgiven you for His name's sake. 13 I write to you, fathers, because ye have known Him Who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because ye have conquered the evil one. I wrote to you, little children, because ye have known the Father. 14 I wrote to you, fathers, because ye have known Him Who is from the beginning. I wrote to you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and ye have conquered the evil one.
