Mark 4:21-25 - The Parable Of The Lamp

²¹ And he said to them, "Is the lamp brought to be put under a basket or under a bed? Is not it put on a stand? ²² For there is nothing hidden, except that it should be made known; neither was anything made secret, but that it should come to light. ²³ If any man has ears to hear, let him hear." ²⁴ And he said to them, "Take heed what you hear. With whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you, and more will be given to you. ²⁵ For whoever has, more will be given, and he who does not have, even that which he has will be taken away from him."

¹⁶ "No one, when he has lit a lamp, covers it with a container, or puts it under a bed; but puts it on a stand, that those who enter in may see the light. ¹⁷ For nothing is hidden, that will not be revealed; nor anything secret, that will not be known and come to light. ¹⁸ Be careful therefore how you hear. For whoever has, to him will be given; and whoever does not have, from him will be taken away even that which he thinks he has."

²¹ and being fully assured that what he had promised, he was able also to perform. ²² Therefore it also was "credited to him for righteousness." ²³ Now it was not written that it was credited to him for his sake alone, ²⁴ but for our sake also, to whom it will be credited, who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead, ²⁵ who was delivered up for our trespasses, and was raised for our justification.
