Mark 4:21-25 - The Parable Of The Lamp
21 And He said unto them, Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or a bed, and not to be set on a candlestick? 22 for there is nothing hidden, which may not be revealed; nor was there any thing concealed, but in order to become manifest. 23 If any one hath ears to hear, let him hear. 24 And mind what ye hear: for with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you; and more shall be imparted to you that are observant: 25 for whosoever hath, to him more shall be given; and he that hath not, even what he hath, or seemeth to have, shall be taken from him.
16 No man when he hath lighted a candle covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a couch; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they who come in may see the light. 17 (For there is nothing secret, that shall not be made manifest: nor any thing concealed, which shall not be made known and come to light.) 18 Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever improveth what he hath, to him shall more be given; and whosoever hath not, even what he seemeth to have shall be taken from him.
21 and being fully persuaded, that what was promised He was able to perform: 22 and therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness. 23 Now it was not written on his account only, that it was imputed to him: 24 but for our sakes also, to him it will be imputed, as we believe on Him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead: 25 who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.
