Deuteronomy 31:9-11 - The Reading Of The Law

⁹ And Moses will write this law and will give it to the priests, the sons of Levi, lifting up the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, and to all the old men of Israel. ¹⁰ And Moses commanded them, saying, From the end of seven years, in the appointment of the year of remission in the festival of tents, ¹¹ In the coming of all Israel to see the face of Jehovah thy God in the place which he shall choose, thou shalt read this law before all Israel in their ears
