Matthew 5:21-26 - The Sermon On The Mount: Anger Toward Others

²¹ You have heard that it was said to the ancients, "You shall not kill" --and, "Whoever shall kill shall be liable to the judgment." ²² But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be liable to the judgment. And whoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be liable to the sanhedrin; but whoever shall say, Fool! shall be liable to be thrown into the fire of hell. ²³ Therefore if you offer your gift on the altar, and there remember that your brother has anything against you, ²⁴ leave your gift there before the altar and go. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift. ²⁵ Agree with your adversary quickly, while you are in the way with him; that the opponent not deliver you to the judge, and the judge deliver you to the officer, and you be thrown into prison. ²⁶ Truly I say to you, You shall by no means come out from there until you have paid the last kodrantes.
