Matthew 7:7-12 - The Sermon On The Mount: Ask, Seek, Knock

⁷ Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: ⁸ for every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. ⁹ What man is there of you, of whom if his son ask a loaf, will he give him a stone? ¹⁰ or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? ¹¹ If ye then, evil as ye are, know how to bestow good gifts on your children; how much more will your Father who is in heaven, bestow good things on those who ask him? ¹² All things therefore whatsoever ye would be willing that men should do to you, just so do ye to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
