Matthew 7:7-12 - The Sermon On The Mount: Ask, Seek, Knock

⁷ Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: ⁸ for every one, that asketh, receiveth; and he, that seeketh, findeth; and to him, that knocketh, it shall be opened. ⁹ Is there any man among you, who, if his son ask him for bread, will give him a stone? ¹⁰ or if he ask for a fish, will he give him a serpent? ¹¹ If ye then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good things to them that ask Him? ¹² All things therefore whatsoever ye would have men do to you, do ye also in like manner unto them: for this is the doctrine of the law and the prophets.
