John 16:4-15 - The Work Of The Holy Spirit

⁴ But I have told you these things, that when the time shall come, ye may remember I told you them. I did not tell you these things at the beginning, because I was with you.

⁵ But now I go to him that sent me, and none of you asketh me, Whither goest thou? ⁶ But because I have told you this, sorrow hath filled your heart. ⁷ But I tell you the truth; it is expedient for you that I go: for if I go not, the Comforter will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send him to you. ⁸ And he coming will convince the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: ⁹ Of sin, because they believe not on me; ¹⁰ Of righteousness, because I go to the Father, and ye see me no more; ¹¹ Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

¹² I have yet many things to say to you; but ye cannot bear them now. ¹³ But when he, the Spirit of truth is come, he will guide you into all the truth; for he will not speak of himself: but whatsoever he shall hear, he will speak; and he will shew you things to come. ¹⁴ He will glorify me; for he will take of mine, and shew it you. ¹⁵ All things that the Father hath, are mine: therefore I said, He will take of mine, and shew it you.
