1 Corinthians 10:14-22 - Warning Against Idolatry

¹⁴ Therefore, my beloved, fly from idolatry. ¹⁵ As I speak to the wise; judge ye what I say. ¹⁶ The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? ¹⁷ Because we, being many, are one bread, one body: for we all partake of one bread. ¹⁸ See Israel after the flesh: are not all eating the sacrifices communicants of the altar? ¹⁹ Then what do I say? that idolatry is anything? or that an idol is anything? ²⁰ But those things which they sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons, and not to God. But I do not wish you to be the communicants of demons. ²¹ You are not able to drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of demons: you are not able to partake of the table of the Lord, and the table of demons. ²² Or do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? whether are we stronger than he?
