ASAHIAH or ASAIAH.

1. Sent with Hilkiah to inquire of Jehovah concerning the book of the law found in the temple (2Ki 22:12-14).

2. Four others (1Ch 9:5; 4:36; 6:30; 15:6,11).

Asahi'ah

(the Lord hath made), a servant of King Josiah, sent by him to seek information of Jehovah respecting the book of the law which Hilkiah found in the temple,
