(1.) The father of Hananiah, a false prophet (Jer 28:1).
(2.) The father of Jaazaniah (Eze 11:1).
(3.) One of those who sealed the covenant with Jehovah on the return from Babylon (Ne 10:17).
In that same year, at the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the fifth month of the fourth year, the prophet Hananiah son of Azzur from Gibeon said to me in the temple of the Lord in the presence of the priests and all the people,
The Spirit then lifted me up and brought me to the eastern gate of the Lord's house, which faces east, and at the gate's entrance were 25 men. Among them I saw Jaazaniah son of Azzur, and Pelatiah son of Benaiah, leaders of the people.
