Beth-shit'tah
Place near the Jordan valley. Jg 7:22. Identified with Shutta, 32 33' N, 35 25' E.
When they blew 300 trumpets, the LORD set the sword of one against another even throughout the whole army; and the army fled as far as Beth-shittah toward Zererah, as far as the edge of Abel-meholah, by Tabbath.
Beth-shit'tah
(home of the acacia), one of the spots to which the flight of the host of the Midianites extended after their discomfiture by Gideon.
