Morish

The thorn-bush in which God was pleased to reveal Himself to Moses when He gave him his commission. Ex 3:2-4. God's presence made it holy ground, and one of His characteristics is brought out by the bush burning, without being consumed; for 'our God is a consuming fire,' burning up the dross, without destruction. Moses did not forget the bush: when he blessed the twelve tribes just before he died he spoke of the "good will of him who dwelt in the bush." De 33:16: and it is three times mentioned in the N.T. Mr 12:26; Lu 20:37; Ac 7:30-35.
