Reference: Gizonite

a name given to Hashem, an inhabitant of Gizoh, a place somewhere in the mountains of Judah (1Ch 11:34; 2Sa 23:32,34).

A gentilic name which occurs in 1Ch 11:34 in the colloc. 'Hashem the Gizonite.' In all probability this should be corrected to 'Jashen (cf. the parallel passage 2Sa 23:32) the Gunite.' See Jashen.
