The sons of Manasseh: of Machir, the family of the Machirites. And Machir fathered Gilead; of Gilead, the family of the Gileadites;

And after him arose Jair, a Gileadite, and judged Israel twenty-two years.

And Jephthah called up all the men of Gilead and fought with Ephraim.
