1. Father of a builder of the wall (Ne 3:10). 2. A Levite (Ne 9:5). It is possible that we ought to Identify this name with Hashabiah of Ezr 8:19,24; Ne 10:11; 11:22; 12:24.

And Hashabiah, and with him Jeshaiah of the sons of Merari, with his kinsmen and their sons, 20;
