Hazar'-e'nan
The N.E. boundary of the promised land both in the past and in the future. Nu 34:9-10; Eze 47:17; 48:1. Mr. Porter has identified it with Kuryetein, about sixty miles E.N.E. of Damascus, where there are copious fountains, which 'Enan' seems to imply.
The border will continue to Ziphron, and its direction will be to Hazar Enan. This will be your northern border. "'For your eastern border you will draw a line from Hazar Enan to Shepham.
The border will run from the sea to Hazar-enan, at the border of Damascus, and on the north is the border of Hamath. This is the north side.
"These are the names of the tribes: From the northern end beside the road of Hethlon to Lebo-hamath, as far as Hazar-enan (which is on the border of Damascus, toward the north beside Hamath), extending from the east side to the west, Dan will have one portion.
