(1.) Invoker of Jehovah. The son of Shimri, a chief Simeonite (1Ch 4:37).

(2.) One of those who repaired the walls of Jerusalem after the return from Babylon (Ne 3:10).

(3.) Knowing Jehovah. The chief of one of the courses of the priests (1Ch 24:7).

(4.) A priest in Jerusalem after the Exile (1Ch 9:10).

1. A priestly family (1Ch 9:10; 24:7; Ezr 2:36 [in 1Es 5:24 Jeddu], Ne 7:39; 11:10; 12:6-7,19,21). 2. One of the exiles sent with gifts of gold and silver for the sanctuary at Jerusalem (Zec 6:10,14). 3. A Simeonite chief (1Ch 4:37). 4. One of those who repaired the wall of Jerusalem (Ne 3:10).

Jedai'ah

1. Son of Shimri, a descendant of Simeon 1Ch 4:37.

2. Head of the second course of priests. 1Ch 24:7.

3. Son of Harumaph: he helped to repair the wall of Jerusalem. Ne 3:10.

4. One who had returned from exile, apparently bringing gold and silver, of which crowns were made to be "for a memorial in the temple of Jehovah." Zec 6:10,14.

In Nos. 1 and 3 the Hebrew is different from the others.
