The form in which the name of the prophet Jeremiah appears in both AV and RV of 1Es 1:28; 1Es 1:32; 1Es 1:47; 1Es 1:57; 1Es 2:1, 2Es 2:18, as well as in AV of 2Ma 2:1; 2Ma 2:5; 2Ma 2:7, Mt 2:17; 27:9. In the last three passages RV has Jeremiah. The form Jeremy is used also in both AV and RV in the title of the Epistle ascribed to the prophet in Bar 6:1. See art. Apocrypha,
