On the separation of the ten tribes, Judah and Benjamin formed a kingdom under the name of Judah. Benjamin being but a small tribe, the kingdom of Judah is sometimes spoken of as one tribe. Doubtless the territory of Simeon was also attached to Judah

But woe to the women with child, and to those giving suck, in those days! And pray, that your flight be not in winter, nor on a sabbath; for then will be great tribulation, such as has not happened from the beginning of the world until now; no, nor ever shall be. And, unless those days should be shortened, no flesh could be saved: but, for the sake of the elect, those days will be shortened. Then, if any one shall say to you, 'Behold, here is the Christ!' or 'Here,' believe it not; for there will arise false Christs and false prophets; and they will give great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. Behold, I have foretold you. If, therefore, they say to you, 'Behold, He is in the wilderness;' go not forth; 'Behold, He is in the secret chambers,' believe it not, For, as the lightning comes forth from the east, and shines unto the west, so shall be the coming of the Son of Man. Wheresoever the carcase is, there the eagles will be gathered together. "And, immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give her light, and the stars will fall from the heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken; and then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven; and then will all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And, before all these things, they will lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up into the synagogues and prisons, being brought before kings and governors for My name's sake. Settle it, therefore, in your hearts, not to meditate beforehand how to make a defense; for I will give you a mouth, and wisdom which all your adversaries shall not be able to withstand or gainsay. Then let those in Judaea flee into the mountains; and let those in the midst of it depart; and let not those in the country enter therein; because these are days of vengeance, that all the things written may be fulfilled. Woe to the women with child, and to those giving suck, in those days; for there will be great distress on the land, and wrath to this people. And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and will be led away captive into all the nations; and Jerusalem will be trodden down by gentiles, until the times of the gentiles are fulfilled.
for, finding fault with them, He saith, "Behold, the days are coming, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and the house of Judah; not according to the covenant which I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in My covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. read more. Because this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord: Putting My laws into their mind, I will also write them upon their hearts, and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to Me a people; and they shall in no wise teach each one his fellow-citizen, and each one his brother, saying, 'Know the Lord'; because all shall know Me, from a small one to a great one of them; because I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and I will remember their sins no more."
