In Ex 6:18; Nu 3:20; 1Ch 24:25,28, it is the name of a son of Merari, Levi's youngest son. In 1Ch 23:23; 24:30 a son of Mushi, Mahli's brother, bears the same name. Ezr 8:18 speaks of 'a man of discretion (see Ish-sechel), of the sons of Mahli
