Meron'othithe, The,
that is, the native of the place called probably Meronoth, of which, however, no further traces have yet been discovered. The Meronothites are named in the Bible--
1. Jehdeiah,
2. Jadon,
Obil the Ishmaelite had charge of the camels; and Jehdeiah the Meronothite had charge of the donkeys.
Next to them Melatiah the Gibeonite and Jadon the Meronothite, the men of Gibeon and of Mizpah, also made repairs for the official seat of the governor of the province beyond the River.
