(See FOREHEAD.) A ring of gold or silver from one to three inches diameter, with beads or jewels strung on it, passed through the right nostril (Eze 16:12). "I put a jewel on thy forehead," rather "a ring in the nose" (Isa 3:21). Women in the East wore also rings or jewels hanging from the forehead on the nose; "I put the ring upon her face" (Ge 24:22,47).
