probably the hilly region or upland wilderness on the north of the desert of Paran forming the southern boundary of the Promised Land (De 33:2; Hab 3:3).
He said:The Lord came from Sinai and revealed himself to Israel from Seir. He appeared in splendor from Mount Paran, and came forth with ten thousand holy ones. With his right hand he gave a fiery law to them.
God comes from Teman, the sovereign one from Mount Paran. Selah. His splendor covers the skies, his glory fills the earth.
