Son of Laish of Gallim. Michal's attached second husband, severed from her. (See MICHAL; DAVID.) Saul had wrested her from David and given her to Phalti to attach him to his house (1Sa 25:44; 2Sa 3:15-16). PHALTIEL also.

Son of Laish, of Gallim: Saul gave him Michal, David's wife. When she was restored to David, Phalti followed weeping behind her, till abruptly sent back by Abner. 1Sa 25:44; 2Sa 3:15.

Phal'ti

(my deliverance), the son of Laish of Gallim, to whom Saul gave Michal in marriage after his mad jealousy had driven David forth as an outlaw.
