Pirathon 'in the land of Ephraim' was the home of Abdon 'the Pirathonlte' (Jg 12:13,15), and of Benaiah, one of David's heroes (2Sa 23:30 etc.). It can hardly have been identical with Parathon (wh. see), but it is probably represented by either Fer'on or Fer'ata.
