Salvation' is the generic term employed in Scripture to express the idea of any gracious deliverance of God, but specially of the spiritual redemption from sin and its consequences predicted by the OT prophets, and realized in the mission and work of the Saviour Jesus Christ.

But Moses said to the people, "Don't be afraid. Stand firm and see the Lord's salvation He will provide for you today; for the Egyptians you see today, you will never see again. The Lord will fight for you; you must be quiet."
The Lord is my strength and my song; He has become my salvation. This is my God, and I will praise Him, my father's God, and I will exalt Him.
So You handed them over to their enemies, who oppressed them. In their time of distress, they cried out to You, and You heard from heaven. In Your abundant compassion You gave them deliverers, who rescued them from the power of their enemies.
Answer me when I call, God, who vindicates me. You freed me from affliction; be gracious to me and hear my prayer.

This poor man cried, and the Lord heard [him] and saved him from all his troubles.
By Myself I have sworn; Truth has gone from My mouth, a word that will not be revoked: Every knee will bow to Me, every tongue will swear allegiance. It will be said to Me: Only in the Lord is righteousness and strength." All who are incensed against Him will come to Him and be put to shame.
This is what the Lord says: I will answer you in a time of favor, and I will help you in the day of salvation. I will keep you, and I will appoint you to be a covenant for the people, to restore the land, to make them possess the desolate inheritances, saying to the prisoners: Come out, and to those who are in darkness: Show yourselves. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. There was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon. This man was righteous and devout, looking forward to Israel's consolation, and the Holy Spirit was on him.

There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved."
God exalted this man to His right hand as ruler and Savior, to grant repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.
"Brothers, sons of Abraham's race, and those among you who fear God, the message of this salvation has been sent to us.
But God proves His own love for us in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us!
For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, [then how] much more, having been reconciled, will we be saved by His life!
For godly grief produces a repentance not to be regretted and leading to salvation, but worldly grief produces death.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavens, in Christ;
In Him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation-in Him when you believed-were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit.
