Shu'nammite, The,
i.e. the native of Shunem, is applied to two persons: Abishag, the nurse of King David,
and the nameless hostess of Elisha.

They searched for a beautiful girl throughout the territory of Israel; they found Abishag the Shunammite and brought her to the king.
So Bathsheba went to the king in his bedroom. Since the king was very old, Abishag the Shunammite was serving him.
He replied, "Please speak to King Solomon since he won't turn you down. Let him give me Abishag the Shunammite as a wife."
So she said, "Let Abishag the Shunammite be given to your brother Adonijah as a wife." King Solomon answered his mother, "Why are you requesting Abishag the Shunammite for Adonijah? Since he is my elder brother, you might as well ask the kingship for him, for Abiathar the priest, and for Joab son of Zeruiah."
He ordered his attendant Gehazi, "Call this Shunammite woman." So he called her and she stood before him.
So she set out and went to the man of God at Mount Carmel. When the man of God saw her at a distance, he said to his attendant Gehazi, "Look, there's the Shunammite woman.
Elisha called Gehazi and said, "Call the Shunammite woman." He called her and she came. Then Elisha said, "Pick up your son."
