Designation of an inhabitant of Shunem.

1. Abishag, the 'fair damsel' that was chosen to cherish David in his old age. 1Ki 1:3,15; 2:17-22.

2. The 'great woman' who provided Elisha with a lodging. She was rewarded with a son, but he died when a lad. She hastened to the prophet, and her faith was such that she could say, "It is well." This was answered by her son being raised to life again. 2Ki 4:8-37.
