Tim'na, or Tim'nah
(restraint).
1. A concubine of Eliphaz son of Esau, and mother of Amalek

2. A duke or phylarch of Edom in the last list in
Timnah was probably the name of a place or a district. [See the following article]
Now these are the names of the chiefs descended from Esau, according to their families and their localities, by their names: chief Timna, chief Alvah, chief Jetheth, chief Oholibamah, chief Elah, chief Pinon, read more. chief Kenaz, chief Teman, chief Mibzar, chief Magdiel, chief Iram. These are the chiefs of Edom (that is, Esau, the father of the Edomites), according to their habitations in the land of their possession.
