Zip'porah, or Zippo'rah,
daughter of Reuel or Jethro, the priest of Midian, wife of Moses and mother of his two sons Gershom and Eliezer.
comp. Exod 18:6 (B.C. 1530.) The only incident recorded in her life is that of the circumcision of Gershom.
Moses was willing to dwell with the man, and he gave his daughter Zipporah to Moses.
Now it came about at the lodging place on the way that the LORD met him and sought to put him to death. Then Zipporah took a flint and cut off her son's foreskin and threw it at Moses' feet, and she said, "You are indeed a bridegroom of blood to me."
