And the rest of the families of the sons of Kohath had cities of their territory out of the tribe of Ephraim.

And they gave unto them, of the cities of refuge, Shechem in mount Ephraim with its pasture lands; they gave also Gezer with its pasture lands,

And the sons of Ephraim; Shuthelah, and Bered his son, and Tahath his son, and Eleadah his son, and Tahath his son,

And Ephraim their father mourned many days, and his brethren came to comfort him.

And in Jerusalem dwelt some of the children of Judah, and some of the children of Benjamin, and some of the children of Ephraim, and Manasseh;

And of the children of Ephraim twenty thousand and eight hundred, mighty men of valor, famous men throughout the house of their fathers.

The seventh captain for the seventh month was Helez the Pelonite, of the children of Ephraim: and in his division were twenty and four thousand.

The eleventh captain for the eleventh month was Benaiah the Pirathonite, of the children of Ephraim: and in his division were twenty and four thousand.

Of the children of Ephraim, Hoshea the son of Azaziah: of the half tribe of Manasseh, Joel the son of Pedaiah:
